N3000-SAP

Overview

The N3000-SAP protection device has been designed as a basic unit for the electric monitoring of a diesel engine and is part of the the KN3000 safetly system. It is the central unit which will initiate an engine shutdown if the limit values which allow for asfe operation have been exceeded and cause the engine to be at risk. The version with the front panel design for Caterpillar is traded under the name Pd-N3000.

The electrical inputs and outputs at the plug-in terminals on the backside have been allocated permanently to the engine's measuring points. The switch status and failure modes of the input and output channels are signalled at the front via tricolored LED's.

The plug-in connecting cables make the installation very user-friendly, in particular with regard to the pre-assembly of the switchgear cabinets in the workshop as well as with regard to subsequent servicing.

The required operating voltage is in the range of 18...72 volts DC. The maximum power requirement is under 10 watts.
